Clever Tips for Your Purse

Does your purse fill up with receipts, crumbling granola bars and makeup? Here are a few helpful tips on what is essential in every woman's purse, how to organize what you have and just a few helpful hints too.

  1. Use an essentials bag. There are certain things you don't want to find out you left in your "other bag". For instance, your credit card, license, lip gloss, gum/mints. To make sure this never happens to you again, you need an essentials bag - a small bag to hold your most important things that you transfer from one purse to another. So, the next time you switch purses, from day to evening or from small to large bag - don't try and remember every little thing you'll need in the next few hours - instead use your essentials bag. Just grab it and throw it into your next bag.

  2. Whether you're a mommy, a business woman, or a party girl on the go, spills on clothes (or purse) can set before you get home. Carrying a cleaning pen in your purse can be quite handy in a pinch. Carry a Tide To Go pen with you for quick clean up. For particularly difficult stains on white clothing, I have used a Clorox Bleach Pen then rinsed the spot afterward and it worked beautifully.

  3. Tired of having a rough nail and never having a nail file at hand? Try this: a matchbox file set. They contain snap-off emery boards. This little matchbox nail set is great for on-the-go girls! It doesn't take up much space in your purse and is very handy.

  4. Eight items every girl should keep in her purse:

    chapstick
    tampon/sanitary napkin
    mirror
    hair ties/bobby pins
    safety pins
    pain reliever (Tylenol)
    gum/breath freshener
    cash
    ID
